Birth to 5 years sees the fastest rate of brain development in a child. No small wonder then that developmental delays are devastating for parents – particularly when they know little about the cause, and even less about suitable therapies available to them. Once a taboo subject, mental illness has recently become a much more accepted disease, both inside and outside the medical community. ‘You, Me, Family’ explores the signs and symptoms of mental illness and provides information from trusted professionals on these illnesses. Each episode focuses on a single developmental challenge or disorder e.g. speech disorder, down syndrome, ADHD, autism, etc. and explores common issues that people with these disorders or challenges face.
